Special Update
A new year has a way of focusing the mind. It encourages reassessment. It invites us to rethink assumptions, revisit portfolios, and ask whether the positions we are holding still make sense for the road ahead. For investors, January is less about prediction and more about preparation.
Each year, I like to see how other market professionals are thinking about the next twelve months. Not because anyone has a crystal ball, but because markets are best understood by comparing frameworks, not forecasts. That is why I once again agreed to contribute to the MoneyShow 2026 Top Picks Report, an annual project that brings together a wide range of analysts, money managers, strategists, and newsletter editors.
The premise is straightforward. MoneyShow asks dozens of experienced market observers to put forward their best ideas for the coming year. The result is not a consensus view or a single narrative, but a broad cross-section of how professionals are positioning themselves across styles, market capitalizations, and risk profiles.
This year’s edition includes 68 unique stock picks from 39 different experts. The ideas span growth and value, mega-cap and micro-cap, familiar names and lesser-known opportunities. As always, it is an interesting mix, and that diversity is the real strength of the report.
What makes this project particularly useful is that it does not simply present a list of stocks. Each recommendation is accompanied by a clearly written, well-researched explanation of the underlying business and the rationale behind the pick. You are shown the why, not just the what. That allows you to decide which ideas align with your own investment philosophy and which do not.
Looking back, the exercise has proven its value. Several of the top-performing picks from the 2025 report delivered exceptional gains over the following year, including advances of 567.7%, 400%, 148.7%, 146.3%, and 144.5%*. Not every recommendation worked, and no responsible investor would expect that. Still, the results highlight what can happen when sound analysis meets favorable market conditions.
I am pleased to be included again in the 2026 edition, and I have arranged for readers to receive a free copy of the MoneyShow 2026 Top Picks Report. If you enjoy studying how different professionals approach the market, and if you value thoughtful analysis over hype, it is well worth your time.
You can access your complimentary copy using the link provided. Read it selectively. Challenge the assumptions. Use it as a starting point for your own research rather than a set of instructions. The goal is not to follow anyone blindly, but to sharpen your own thinking as the year unfolds.

Hypothetical gains represent changes in stock prices from the 2025 report publication date through December 18, 2025. Not all recommendations were profitable, and past performance is not indicative of future results.
